Ingredients:
🍏 4 apples, peeled, cored
🍏 1 (14 oz) frozen pie crust (thawed)
🍏 1 box of Calhoun Bend Mill Apple Crisp Mix
🍏 1.5 sticks of butter
🍏 1 cup of brown sugar
🍏 2 cups of water
Instructions:
🥟 Peel and core the 4 apples and cut up a 1/2 stick of butter to put in the center of the apples.
🥟 Roll out the pie crust into a rectangle and place the apples on the pie crust.
🥟 Make the filling by combining 1/2 stick of melted butter with Calhoun Bend Mill Apple Crisp Mix. Stir until crumbly. Sprinkle half of the filling around the apples.
🥟 Cut the pie crust into fourths and wrap the crust around the apple and the filling.
🥟 Make the sauce by combining 1 cup of brown sugar, 2 cups of water, and half a stick of butter. Bring to a boil and then turn down the heat and let it simmer until the sugar is dissolved.
🥟 Carefully pour the sauce over the dumplings and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for an hour. You may have to cover it with tin foil part way through to keep the tops from getting burned.
