Ingredients:
- 1 Calhoun Bend Mill Fried Green Tomato Mix
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounce package cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon bacon bits (optional)
- 12 ounces jalapeño peppers, halved & seeded
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 quarts frying oil
Directions:
- Bring frying oil to 365 degrees in a medium sized skillet
- Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits into a bowl and mix throughly
- Spoon cream cheese mixture into the jalapeño halves and set aside
- With two bowls, pour half the Calhoun Bend Mill Fried Green Tomato Mix into each bowl. Pour 1/2 cup water into one of the bowls and mix together Leaving the other bowl dry
- Begin dredging the stuffed jalapeño’s into the wet mixture and then dredge into the dry mixture
- One at a time, begin frying the poppers in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes or until poppers are golden brown
- Drain poppers on paper towel and allow to cool
- Add some warm Mariana sauce for dipping on the side
